Samsung Corby II (S3850) Gets Official, Launching Later This Month

Samsung has finally come clean about their latest budget phone, the Corby II S3850. It officially packs a 3.14-inch QVGA touchscreen display, WiFi b/g/n support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, a 2MP camera, and Samsung's own proprietary OS. This handset will actually be available in late March in Germany followed by other regions in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Africa. Who knows when it'll hit North America. The price hasn't been announced yet but it should be quite cheap.

HTC PC92100 Gets Its GCF Approval, Set For Europe / Asia

It looks like the GCF has just approved another handset from HTC and it's going by the model number PC92100. This has the potential to be a high-end smartphone since it does have WiFi b/g/n support along with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE / dual-band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA connectivity and 900/2100MHz 3G support. Since this blog is based in Canada it's quite sad to hear that this exact model is destined for Europe / Asia since it has WCDMA bands. Furthermore, we don't know what OS it's running so it could be either Windows Phone 7 or Android (or Brew?).
