Asus Prices and Dates the Eee Transformer and EP121 Tablets For Europe

Asus has just confirmed pricing and availability for the Eee Transformer and the Eee Slate EP121 - but not in the US. First off is the one above, which you should already know as the Eee Transformer which packs a Tegra 2 chipset along with Android "Honeycomb" and that external keyboard that you might need. The 16GB and 32GB models will be available in Europe for £379 ($608 USD) and £429 ($688 USD), respectively.

On the other hand you have the Eee Slate EP121 tablet below which is obviously running Microsoft's Windows 7. This tablet features a 12.1-inch display with an active digitizer, an Intel Core i5-470UM CPU, WiFi b/g/n support, a stylus if you need it, and a 64GB SSD. This one will be available on April 10th on Amazon UK for £999 ($1,602 USD).

Windows 7 Powered Asus EP121 Tablet Set For April 10th Release Date

If you're actually one of the people who want to run Windows 7 Home Premium on a tablet then Asus might have the one for you. The expensive Eee Slate EP121 tablet is scheduled for an April 10th release in the UK with Amazon listing the tablet for a whopping £999.99 ($1,627 USD). If you want to pay that extreme price tag then you'll be getting a 12.1-inch display (1,280 x 800 resolution), an Intel Core i5-470UM CPU, a 64GB SSD, Intel HD graphics, Bluetooth support, a 2MP webcam, and a desktop OS. Definitely sounds powerful.

Asus Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 Tablet With Core i5 CPU Now Available For $999

It was up for pre-orders before and now it's available. Yes, the Asus Eee Slate EP121 tablet running full-blown Windows 7 is now available for $999.99. That's the 32GB (SSD) model, the 64GB (SSD) model is going for $1,099.99. Beneath the large 12.1-inch (1,280 x 800 resolution) display, you'll be getting an Intel Core i5-470UM CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, Intel HD graphics, a miniHDMI port, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 2MP webcam, two USB 2.0 ports, a 2-in-1 card reader, a digitizer, a 4-cell battery that might only last about 4 hours, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

It looks like a decent tablet on paper but we're going to have to get someone to video review this one and see if Windows 7 works on this overpriced but powerful tablet. Check it out on Amazon.

Amazon Taking Pre-Orders For the Eee Slate EP121 Windows 7 Tablet

The just-announced Asus Eee Slate EP121 has just found its way onto Amazon for pre-orders. As expected, it's going for $999 and that's quite a bit to pay for a tablet. Luckily, beneath the 12.1-inch display you'll find an Intel Core i5-470UM CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 32GB SSD, and Windows 7. The 64GB model will cost you $1,099 so it is $100 cheaper. At this price, you might as well get a full-fledged notebook - at least, that's my opinion. Check it out on Amazon if you're still interested.

12-Inch Asus Eee Slate EP121 Gets Announced, Sports Windows 7 and Core i5 CPU

Asus has announced their second tablet of the day and the company has teased this one a few times before. It's the Eee Slate EP121 and this one features an Intel Core i5-470M CPU along with Windows 7. Other specs include a 12-inch IPS display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a Wacom digitizer, 2GB / 4GB of RAM, a 64GB SSD, a front-facing camera, and an HDMI port. Windows 7 doesn't really work with a tablet but Asus is still trying to make it work and this harder should run it pretty smoothly. This will be available later this month and will cost you right around $999.

It looks like Asus has just teased their 12-inch EP121 tablet which will be running Windows 7. This tablet from Asus will be the most powerful to date, packing a speedy Intel Core i5 CPU. Other specs include a USB port, an SD card slot, a webcam, a multitouch display, and a dual-mode active digitizer so it will be able to support finger and pen inputs. Since it is being teased just weeks before CES 2011, you can expect it to make an appearance there. Don't expect this one to be cheap. Check out the teaser video below.
