Samsung To Release the New Galaxy Tab 10.1 In Canada In Late Q3

If you believe what MobileJaw is hearing then Samsung Canada intends to launch the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in "late Q3" so this could mean a September release. The good news here is that it'll reportedly be the new tablet that was recently announced by Samsung at CTIA. This means, this tablet will rival the iPad 2 and the XOOM in Canada with its ~8.6mm thin body.

Inside you can expect to find 16GB / 32GB (maybe 64GB) storage options, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, WiFi a/b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 3.2MP rear-facing camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing 2MP camera, and Android "Honeycomb".

Motorola XOOM To Hit Telus On April 19th, HP Touchpad This Summer For $499

Two bits of information coming from Mobile Syrup regarding tablets in Canada. First off, the WiFi-only Motorola XOOM which is already available at Best Buy will be hitting Telus on April 19th. Price should be the same, so expect it for $599.99 - that's a 32GB model.

The other tablet is the 9.7-inch HP Touchpad that'll be running webOS 3.0. We already know this one should be launching in the Summer and it's looking like it'll be in June / July and the price tag seems to be $499. Yes, that's lower than the XOOM but I believe that'll be a 16GB model and it only has a front-facing camera. Of course, on the inside the Touchpad packs a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon which is a bit faster than the Tegra 2 in the XOOM. Interesting stuff, for sure!

Motorola Testing a 7-Inch "Gingerbread" Tablet That's Rugged?

Motorola looks like they're testing a new tablet that's unfortunately running just Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" if the picture above is anything to go by. Thankfully, the rest of the spec sheet is looking great so hopefully they'll upgrade the OS before the release. This unnamed tablet reportedly features a 7-inch LCD display, a dual-core 1GHz OMAP 4 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, an 8MP rear-facing camera, Bluetooth 2.1 / WiFi a/b/g/n support, and a USB port for good measure.

That's not all though because this one's apparently a rugged tablet and the battery life will be good enough for 5 and a half hours of video streaming. On the rugged side, this tablet will withstand a four foot drop, extreme temperatures / dust, and some water. Who knows when or if this tablet will hit the market.

Elitegroup's Elitepad S10 Windows 7 Tablet Hits the FCC

It's definitely not the most desirable tablet that has hit the FCC but it's something fairly unique. The Elitepad S10 from Elitegoup has been spotted at the FCC after being spied out at CeBIT a few months ago. Beneath the 10-inch display you'll be getting an Intel Atom 1.5GHz Z670 CPU, 1GB of RAM, a 1.3MP webcam, WiFi / Bluetooth 3.0 support, an HDMI output, and Windows 7. Sadly, since it's running Microsoft's OS the battery is only good enough for a maximum of 6 hours. Check it out at the FCC.

Hannspree Has Another Tablet For This Quarter, A Sweeter One In Q3 With "Honeycomb"

Notebook Italia has just pointed out something great if you're willing to take a risk on your latest Android tablet. Hannspree reportedly has their SN10T1 tablet somewhere on the market in Europe going for €399 - even though the roadmap says that it's €349. This tablet packs a 10.1-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, 16GB of internal storage, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and sadly just Android 2.2. Another model, the SN10T2 is expected sometime this quarter with a TI chip, 8GB of internal storage, and a camera. That one should launch for €299, which is right around $430. A bit high considering the Asus Transformer. However, their best tablet could be coming in Q3.

Taking a look at the roadmap above, the company is working on an Android 3.0 "Honeycomb" tablet that will be launching in various markets sometime in Q3, later this year. This one will cleverly be called the SN10T3 and pack a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 600 resolution, a Tegra 2 CPU, 16GB of storage, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and a camera. We don't know how responsive it'll be, but we'll find out in a few months when someone gets a hands-on. This one will reportedly launch for €449, which is just about $650.

Lenovo Said To Be Working On a 23-Inch Tablet For This Year

Tech Radar is reporting something quite big from Lenovo. Apparently, the company's senior specialist in marketing, William Cai, has mentioned that they're working on a gigantic 23-inch tablet that should hit the market before the end of this year. Obviously, you shouldn't be strolling the street with a 23-inch tablet so this one will reportedly be used for various rooms in your house. You'll be able to share this tablet with your family and you'll be able to use it for basically whatever you want: games, browsing, watching TV. The OS is unknown right now but I'm going to guess that it'll be Windows.

7-Inch HTC Flyer Hitting Europe On May 9th

The title really says it all. In February, we heard that HTC planned to release their 7-inch Flyer tablet globally sometime in Q2 and at their event today they announced that Europe will be getting it on May 9th. Not much left to tell you but before you pick one up you should remember that HTC has "Honeycomb" tablets in the works. Just saying.

Windows 7 Powered Acer Iconia W500 Tablet Up For Pre-Orders At $549

Acer's upcoming Windows 7 powered tablet is actually up on B&H if you're interested. This tablet is the Iconia W500 and it packs a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, dual cameras, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics, a 1GHz AMD Fusion APU, and an HDMI output. This is actually pretty good because it's priced at $549 and it comes with the keyboard dock so it'll double as a netbook if you want.

Sadly, the 3-cell battery is only set to last for 6 hours which actually kind of sucks. Of course, Windows 7 isn't the most tablet-friendly OS out there. Check it out at B&H and remember that it's shipping by April 15th.

Kyocera "Gaming Tablet" Shows Up Online, Not Much Known Right Now

Coming from Android Community is what you see above. This is reportedly a tablet from Kyocera and it's said to be a "gaming tablet" if that makes any sense to you. Specs are unknown right now but from the picture above it looks like the back of the tablet has a black "rubbery matte" feel. I doubt this one's PlayStation Certified but at least you'll be able to play Angry Birds on it.
