Acer looks like they could be bringing their own "Honeycomb" based tablet to Canada within the next month. This Iconia tablet from the company is scheduled to hit Canada on May 13th. It features a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, a dual-core Tegra 2 CPU, a 5MP camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, WiFi support, a microHDMI output, and a battery that'll last 8 hours.
Check it out on Future Shop where you can pre-order it now for $499.99. Yes, that's $100 cheaper than the XOOM up here but keep in mind that this only has 1GB of storage with a microSD card slot, while the XOOM comes with 32GB.

Acer Unveils and Releases Two New 3D Monitors
Acer has just unveiled two new 3D-capable monitors to the world and they come in 23.6-inch (HS244HHQ) and 27-inch (HN274H) models. They should be available right now if you look hard enough with price tags of $450 and $689, respectively. Sadly, for you to see the 3D on the monitors you'll need those dorky Nvidia 3D glasses.
The smaller model packs 2ms response time, a 120Hz display, and a 12,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio; the larger monitor features three HDMI 3D inputs, a DVI-D / VGA port, a built-in IR emitter, and a 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. Some pretty good specs from both of them but they're pretty expensive.

7-Inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 Tablet With "Honeycomb" Launching In Late April / May
Digitimes is reporting that Acer has another tablet in the works and should be launching in late April or May. It's the 7-inch Iconia Tab A100 tablet which we've heard about before. Said tablet will sport a Tegra 2 CPU along with the Android "Honeycomb" OS which is pretty impressive considering it'll be priced lower than the A500 model. We've already seen a few prices for this tablet at €349 and £299 which isn't bad. This model is intended for the female demographic since it'll be easier for them to carry around.

Windows 7 Powered Acer Iconia W500 Tablet Up For Pre-Orders At $549
Acer's upcoming Windows 7 powered tablet is actually up on B&H if you're interested. This tablet is the Iconia W500 and it packs a 10.1-inch display with a 1,280 x 800 resolution, dual cameras, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics, a 1GHz AMD Fusion APU, and an HDMI output. This is actually pretty good because it's priced at $549 and it comes with the keyboard dock so it'll double as a netbook if you want.
Sadly, the 3-cell battery is only set to last for 6 hours which actually kind of sucks. Of course, Windows 7 isn't the most tablet-friendly OS out there. Check it out at B&H and remember that it's shipping by April 15th.

It looks like two more tablets have been dated thanks to an internal leak from Staples. Apparently, the Acer Iconia Tab that's destined for AT&T is scheduled to launch in late April while Toshiba's Android tablet is expected to ship in June. Of course, this is unconfirmed news since everything can change before the actual launch. Be patient young one.

Four Android Tablets Get Priced For Europe; Acer A100, Transformer, XOOM, and Optimus Pad
A bunch of upcoming tablets for Europe has just been priced. It's everything you see above so that includes the €349 Acer Iconia A100, €399 Asus Eee Pad, €699 Motorola XOOM, and €849 LG Optimus Pad. It's actually pretty surprising that the A100 will be so inexpensive since it's running Android "Honeycomb" which means that the price could actually be right. The one that surprised me the most is that the 3D-capable Optimus Pad will cost so much money so I doubt that'll be flying off of the shelves. The unknown Eee Pad could actually be the Transformer so that's a decent price for a Tegra 2 tablet.
Of course, what we're missing here is the release dates which are still unknown right now. Some of these were supposed to be available in March but that's looking doubtful. Expect a Q2 launch; yes, I'm being vague.

Acer Updates 13.3 and 14-Inch TimelineX Notebooks, New Design and Core 2011 CPUs
Last week at CeBIT, Acer actually showed off something quite nice. It was an upgrade to their ultraportable notebook line-up, the TimelineX Series. Both the 13.3-inch 3830T and the 14-inch 4830T got a slight redesign, taking cues from their Ethos line-up of notebooks with a part-metal design. Of course, you now have your choice of Intel Core 2011 CPU options along with up to 4GB of RAM, and a GeForce GT540M GPU. You have standard ports here including USB 3.0 and HDMI. The battery should last you a good 9 hours which would be great for most people. Both of these new TimelineX notebooks should be available in April.

Acer's 10-Inch Iconia A500 Tablet Prototype Gets Demoed Briefly On Video
Acer showed off a fairly new tablet at MWC that we've heard about before. This is Acer's 10.1-inch tablet which will be called the Iconia A500 when it hits the market later this year. This one's expected to be running Android "Honeycomb" when it launches but the prototype at the event was running just version 2.2 "Froyo". This one's a 7-inch tablet from the company and it's going to be running Android 3.0 "Honeycomb" when it launches - even though it's running version 2.2 on display at the event right now. If Acer can get the software working perfectly then this is another tablet that should be pretty good this year.
