Rogers in Canada has just released the Acer Liquid MT and it's available for $49.99 on a 3-year contract, $249.99 on a 2-year contract, $349.99 on a 1-year contract, and $399.99 contract-free. This handset sports a 3.6-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash and 720p HD video recording, an 800MHz CPU, a microSD card slot, WiFi / Bluetooth support, and Android 2.2 with a custom UI. Rogers To Launch the Acer Liquid Metal Soon For $49.99 On a 3-Year and $399.99 Without

In November of last year, Acer officially announced their Liquid Metal smartphone and swiftly mentioned that it's headed to Canada via Rogers. Well, Mobile Syrup just found the leaked prices for said smartphone on said carrier. The Liquid Metal, which will be launching as the Liquid mt will be hitting the carrier for $49.99 on a 3-year contract and $399.99 contract-free. This will be available in Q1 of this year, likely March, and it's running on Android 2.2 with their own custom UI. If you need to know the specs then just check out the refresher below.

Rogers Bringing the Acer Liquid Metal Smartphone To Canada

I wasn't able to keep up with the Acer event this afternoon but I did go back and check out the Engadget live blog. Something that Canadians might be interested in was actually the last question in the question and answer period. Someone asked if the Android-based Acer Liquid Metal smartphone would be hitting the US and the company actually mentioned that Rogers in Canada would be releasing it. This has already hit the FCC so we already know that it has 3G connectivity including the confirmed specs, which you can check out on GSM Arena if you're interested. Release date and pricing is still unknown.

Acer's Liquid Metal Froyo Packing Smartphone Gets Official, Landing In the UK In Mid-November

Acer's Liquid Metal smartphone has just got official and that's exactly what it'll be launching as. The Acer Liquid Metal is, yes, sporting a body made of liquid metal which is pretty sweet. This smartphone is confirmed to feature a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display, the new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU, 384MB of RAM, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash and 720p HD video recording, quad-band 2G / tri-band 3G connectivity, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, and DivX / XviD support. This handset is running Android 2.2 "Froyo" and it's sporting the company's own customized UI dubbed the Breeze. This will be available in the middle of November in the UK for £299 ($475 USD) unlocked so it's definitely worth the price. We don't know if it'll hit anywhere outside of that but it's pretty likely since there was an AT&T model that hit the FCC.

Acer Liquid Metal (S120) Smartphone Hits the FCC With AT&T 3G Bands

Well, it looks like the Acer Liquid Metal (S120) smartphone has just made a step toward being official. The smartphone has just been spotted at the FCC and it's sporting GSM / EDGE 850/1900MHz and WCMA Band II and V connectivity, which is perfect for AT&T in the US and the three major carriers in Canada. Other confirmed specs include GPS / Bluetooth, WiFi b/g/n support, and Android 2.2.

This smartphone should also feature a 3.6-inch WVGA touchscreen display along with the new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU. Well, this one should be getting official really soon so look out for it. In the mean time, check it out at the FCC.

Leaked Pictures Show Us Some Upcoming Acer Android Devices; Liquid Metal Smartphone, Tablet, and Another Smartphone

Coming from Droid Sans could be a couple of pretty important leaked pictures. All of them are about Acer's upcoming devices and they're all going to be running on the Android OS. The first picture above appears to be a picture of Acer's Froyo based Liquid Metal smartphone but no specs are unknown. The picture directly below is said to be a tablet from Acer with a 9 or 10-inch display. The most interesting part is the couple of pictures below the tablet which is another smartphone [from Acer] running Android. This one appears to have a large and thin display (resolution unknown), a front-facing camera, four low touch-sensitive buttons, and a Dolby Sound mark on the back. Interesting indeed.

The Front Of Acer's Liquid Metal Android 2.2 Smartphone Leaks Out

Acer is said to be working on a Liquid Metal Android 2.2 based smartphone but we know that already. All that you can take out of what you see above is the hardware since that's apparently the front face of the smartphone we're talking about. The software seen on the screen is a big mistake though since it shows the Android OS skinned with Samsung's own Touchwiz, which Acer's obviously won't look like. In case you forgot, the back and the top of the phone are pictured below. Now, you can picture and puzzle together the pieces in your head and try to figure out what it will really look like.
