HTC Prepping a Windows Phone With 16MP Camera and Dual-LED Flash?

Looking a lot like the Desire S - possibly just a placeholder right now - it looks like HTC has a new Windows Phone 7 handset in the pipes and this one could actually raise the cameraphone bar around the world. According to the ad below, an HTC WP7 handset that'll launch sometime in the future will sport a 16MP camera with a dual-LED flash. No doubt this one will record 1080p Full HD video as well. Personally, I haven't heard of a 16MP sensor for mobile phones go into production but you never know what could happen in the fast-evolving tech world.

WP7 Based LG E700 Leaks, Sporting IE9 and Could Have "Mango" Update

LG looks like they have another Windows Phone 7 handset in the pipe and it's the E700. This leaked .xml file says that the smartphone will have Internet Explorer 9 which tells us that it could actually launch in the future with the "Mango" update pre-installed. Of course, it could have the improved browser without the actual update but we'll just have to see what happens.

HTC "Mazaa" Leaks, Could Be Sprint's Trophy and a World Phone

Does the phone above look familiar? Well, it should. It's the HTC Trophy that runs Windows Phone 7 and, apparently, Verizon won't be the only carrier that will have the phone. Apparently, Sprint could be launching it as well and it'll be a world phone - just like the Verizon model is rumoured to be. This is unconfirmed right now but rumours are saying that this phone is codenamed the "Mazaa".

Nokia's First Windows Phone 7 Handsets To Be the W7 and W8

It tells us absolutely nothing about Nokia's future with Windows Phone 7 but their first two devices running on Microsoft's mobile OS will reportedly be the W7 and the W8. Apparently, Eldar Murtazin got a hands-on with said devices and they're still in prototype form - of course. The W7 supposedly features a Qualcomm chipset and an 8MP AF camera with a flash on the back and since it's a Nokia phone, it should be a pretty good sensor. The W8, on the other hand, shares a resemblance to the Nokia N8 (pictured above) but hopefully they make it look a bit better this time around. Hopefully, these leak soon and maybe we'll be seeing these launch before Christmas this year.

Verizon's Roadmap Leaks, Includes 8 Android Phones and a Lone Windows Phone

Phandroid has just gotten quite a big exclusive leak regarding upcoming Verizon phones. The leak above is clearly "subject to change" but it's a fairly good indication of what to expect in the next couple of weeks / months. The first two that Verizon will be launching will apparently be on April 7th where you can expect two Android phones: the waterproof Casio Commando and the Samsung DROID Charge (aka Stealth) which will feature the Touchwiz UI as well as LTE (4G) support.

The week after that the carrier will be launching the PlayStation Certified XPERIA Play which is, of course, made by Sony Ericsson. A day after that will be the HTC Trophy which will be a Windows Phone 7 handset with Global connectivity which is great. Capping off the big month of April will be the DROID Incredible 2 which will be another Global device. The original DROID Incredible is now an EoL (End-of-Life) device so it's pretty clear that the successor is just around the corner.

On May 5th, you might want to mark the LG Revolution on your calendar. This one could be dropping on that day and it'll also have 4G connectivity via LTE. Launches in the rest of May include more 4G devices: Motorola DROID Bionic, DROID X 2, and the Galaxy S II. The Galaxy S II is definitely the one that people might be looking forward to the most - at least I am. Keep in mind that some of these devices could be delayed until June.

Of course, they're sporting Android 2.2 and Windows Phone 7, respectively. The Thrill 4G sports the same 4.3-inch glasses-free 3D display along with a 5MP camera that'll take 3D photos and videos. The HD7S is a slight upgrade over the original HD7 on T-Mobile but this time around it sports a Super LCD display.

WP7-Based HTC Arrive Hits Sprint, Amazon Has It For $149

Take a look at your calendar. Sprint has released the 7 Pro aka the HTC Arrive for $199.99 on a 2-year contract. Of course, you can also head over to Amazon and pick it up for $149.99 on a 2-year but the choice is yours. This handset is one of the best Windows Phone 7 phones out there right now so you might want to take a look at it.

HTC Ignite and Prime Photos Leaks, Possibly Running WP7 For Mid 2011

Two new possible Windows Phone 7 phones have just leaked from XDA.cn (here and here). The handset above is rumoured to be launching in mid 2011 and could be the HTC Ignite. Specs are unknown right now but they should be fairly good since Microsoft has minimal requirements on smartphones running their OS. With that in mind, let's hope that this one raises the bar for WP7 handsets.

The one below is reportedly the HTC Prime. This one reportedly features a 3.7-inch WVGA display, a 5MP camera, and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Yup, it's a traditional WP7 handset that doesn't really raise the bar from the HTC 7 Pro. It does look a bit better though - and thinner.

Wirefly Now Taking Pre-Orders For the HTC Arrive On Sprint

If you've been waiting for the HTC 7 Pro in the US then you should know that it'll be hitting Sprint as the HTC Arrive but you should already know that. Wirefly is actually taking pre-orders for the phone right now if you're willing to pay up $49.99 which isn't much. If it's not for a new account then it'll actually cost you $149.99 but that's still cheaper than the $199.99 price tag that it'll be available for on March 20th.

HTC Incredible and Trophy Rumoured For March 17th and 24th Launch, Respectively

The leak above states two pretty important dates regarding future Verizon handsets. The first is that the Android powered HTC Thunderbolt could launch on March 17th and that the WP7 based HTC Trophy could be available a week later, on March 24th. Of course, this could be totally wrong at this point. Rumours about the Thunderbolt launching have been untrue so far so we're really just waiting for the official word. We also heard a few weeks ago that the HTC Trophy would be delayed to support Global 3G. Only Verizon knows the real dates.

Dell Venue Pro To Hit Canada's Rogers As Early As March 17th?

At this point, a bunch of Canadians are waiting for the Windows Phone 7 powered Dell Venue Pro to hit Rogers. We already know that it should be hitting the carrier for $149.99 on a 3-year contract and $599.99 contract-free but that might've changed. Apparently, the phone could actually hit the carrier for $99.99 and $449.99 contract-free which would be much better. Launch date is now rumoured to be March 17th according to Mobile Syrup's tipsters.

Sony Ericsson WP7 Handset Leaks In Prototype Form, With a Slide-Out QWERTY Keyboard

A new photo of a Sony Ericsson smartphone has just leaked. Judging from the display and the three capacitive buttons, it's a prototype Windows Phone 7 handset from the company. Now, there's no way of confirming this one's real because it could just be an awesome photoshop job. Then again, I don't really know why anyone would waste their time photoshopping something like this. It looks pretty legit to me so now we wait for Sony Ericsson to announce this one.

HTC Trophy Set To Be a World 3G Smartphone, Delayed Until June?

Here's some bad news for those of you waiting for the HTC Trophy on Verizon. There's a new rumour going around that states that it won't be available until June of this year. The good news is that said smartphone will actually be a global CDMA / GSM smartphone so you can take it with you all over the world. Apparently, this handset could actually be announced in the next month or so. Furthermore, the handset is said to be very fast since it will have the "NoDo" update.

Asus' CEO Says They're Working On a 3D Tablet, MeeGo and Android Netbooks and WP7 For 2012

Asus has just announced something that sounds pretty darn great. Apparently, the CEO, Jerry Shen, has mentioned that they're working on a few products. They include: a 3D tablet, MeeGo and Android Atom powered netbooks, and even a Windows Phone 7 handset which actually won't hit the market until 2012. Nothing else has been mentioned but it would be surprising for the 3D tablet not to run Android so you can get excited if you don't want the LG G-Slate / Optimus Pad.

HTC Trophy With Verizon Branding Gets Caught In the Wild

We knew that it was headed to Verizon and this just about makes it official without it actually being official. The Windows Phone 7 based HTC Trophy has just been spotted in the wild shopping around a Verizon logo. This will likely be one of the carrier's first WP7 handsets and will include the next version of the mobile OS so that includes the oh-so-important copy and paste.

HTC 7 Pro Likely To Hit Sprint Tomorrow As the HTC Arrive

If you head to Sprint.com/arrive you'll be granted with the message you see above. Yup, Sprint is looking to launch the HTC Arrive tomorrow and that'll likely be the HTC 7 Pro. Sprint's own Twitter account has hinted that they're launching a Windows Phone 7 handset for a few days now and we know that HTC filed a trademark for the Arrive a few months ago. Now we just have to wait for the announcement which will be tomorrow.

Sprint Set To Announce the WP7-Based HTC 7 Pro On Thursday?

If you keep up with Sprint's Twitter account then you might have caught both tweets above. Yes, Sprint looks like they'll be announcing a new phone on Thursday, February 24th, and it's looking like it could be a Windows Phone 7 handset with a "hub for gaming, music, pictures, and video." Of course, everyone's assuming it'll be the HTC 7 Pro and it's looking like that's a pretty good assumption.

Acer Set To Launch Their Windows Phone 7 Handset In September Or October

An Acer spokesperson talked to Pocket-Lint and told them some pretty great information that you should have already read in the title. They said that they'll be launching their first Windows Phone 7 handset in September / October of this year. Of course, specs for said smartphone are unknown right now but they should be pretty good seeing how Microsoft has outlined minimum specs for this OS. This is actually great news because the major WP7 update (Mango) will already be available at that time so you'll be getting quite a refined OS by the time this one hits stores.

Dell Roadmap Leaks; Includes Possible Venue Pro 2, Also Has "Ice Cream" Powered Smartphones

WPCentral just got a big leak regarding future Dell devices and they include some Windows Phone 7 based handsets as well as two Android powered ones. Ignore the stuff in the first half of the year because the first big piece of news is the Dell "Wrigley" which is going to be running the next version of Windows Phone 7 (Mango) and will be sporting a 1GHz CPU, a 4-inch WVGA display, an 8MP camera that can record 720p HD video, and what looks to be a slide-up portrait QWERTY keyboard. This could very well be the Venue Pro 2 and looks like it's on track for a July release. If you want to know about the two Android based handsets then just keep on reading.

The first one is the Dell "Millennium" which will attempt to launch in October / November of this year. This handset looks like it'll be sporting a 4.3-inch qHD display, a dual-core CPU, an 8MP camera, a front-facing VGA camera, DLNA support, and Android "Ice Cream" which should be combining aspects from both Gingerbread and Honeycomb. The other handset is an even higher-end handsets, dubbed the "Hancock". This one is said for a 2012 launch and looks like it'll have a 4-inch qHD display, a dual-core CPU, an 8MP camera with 1080p Full HD video recording, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a slide-out (landscape) QWERTY keyboard, and "Ice Cream" as well. Quite a big leak but who knows if this roadmap is outdated by now.
