Dell Venue Pro To Hit Canada's Rogers As Early As March 17th?

At this point, a bunch of Canadians are waiting for the Windows Phone 7 powered Dell Venue Pro to hit Rogers. We already know that it should be hitting the carrier for $149.99 on a 3-year contract and $599.99 contract-free but that might've changed. Apparently, the phone could actually hit the carrier for $99.99 and $449.99 contract-free which would be much better. Launch date is now rumoured to be March 17th according to Mobile Syrup's tipsters.

GCF Approves Of the Dell Venue and Venue Pro Handsets

Something has just snuck through to get its GCF certificate and it's the Dell Venue and the Dell Venue Pro. The first handset is the Android-based model with no QWERTY keyboard, while the second is one of the best WP7-based handsets to date. Both of them feature quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE along with tri-band UMTS/HSDPA 900/1700/2100 MHz connectivity. Now all we have to do is wait for that Venue to launch in North America.

Dell Venue Pro Crosses the FCC With AT&T 3G Support

T-Mobile and Dell may not have a lot of Venue Pro's lying around but it looks like another version has just been spotted at the FCC. This one's capable of running on AT&T's 3G network as well as Rogers, Bell, and Telus' up here in Canada. This is great news for everyone because this is definitely the Windows Phone 7 smartphone to get. If this one actually launches, we don't know when it will be. My guess is on a Q1 launch but we'll really just have to wait and see. Maybe Dell will announce it at CES 2011. Check it out at the FCC.

Some Dell Venue Pro Shipments Not Shipping Until January 6th

Well, who saw this one coming? Dell has just announced that their Venue Pro shipments have been delayed until January 6th, 2011. Is it worth the wait for arguably the best Windows Phone 7 handset out there to date? The delay in shipments hasn't been officially announced by Dell themselves, but a few people who pre-ordered them did mention that the shipping date changed to this date. This is likely because of the demand for this smartphone and because Dell just didn't make enough of them. I don't know why Dell wouldn't make a ton of these because I knew this would sell like hotcakes.

Dell Venue Pro Will Be Available Starting On December 14th? $149.99 and $499.99 Price Tags

It looks like new shipments of the WP7-based Dell Venue Pro may actually be available in a few weeks and before the end of the year. According to the photo above, the Venue Pro will be available for $149.99 on a 2-year contract and $499.99 contract-free. Apparently, this will be ready for December 14th, but don't be surprised if it is delayed. Mark that in pencil on your calendar if you're waiting for the Windows Phone 7 smartphone to get; who doesn't want a 4.1-inch display with a slide-up portrait QWERTY keyboard.

Microsoft Stores Now Have the WP7-Based Dell Venue Pro Available

The leak turned out to be true. The WP7-based Dell Venue Pro smartphone is now available through Microsoft for $199.99 on a 2-year T-Mobile USA contract. This is definitely the most interesting Windows Phone 7 handset and sets itself apart from the pack by having a 4.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen display, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, and a portrait slide-up QWERTY keyboard. The problem with this one now being available is that it's probably sold out at this point. It's only available in stores so you won't find it online. This will be available online on November 15th.
