Motorola XOOM To Hit Telus On April 19th, HP Touchpad This Summer For $499

Two bits of information coming from Mobile Syrup regarding tablets in Canada. First off, the WiFi-only Motorola XOOM which is already available at Best Buy will be hitting Telus on April 19th. Price should be the same, so expect it for $599.99 - that's a 32GB model.

The other tablet is the 9.7-inch HP Touchpad that'll be running webOS 3.0. We already know this one should be launching in the Summer and it's looking like it'll be in June / July and the price tag seems to be $499. Yes, that's lower than the XOOM but I believe that'll be a 16GB model and it only has a front-facing camera. Of course, on the inside the Touchpad packs a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon which is a bit faster than the Tegra 2 in the XOOM. Interesting stuff, for sure!

Samsung Now Letting You Sign Up For the Galaxy S Fascinate 4G

If you don't want to pick up a Nexus S today then Samsung is here to remind you that you can now sign up for the Telus Galaxy S Fascinate 4G. This smartphone is pretty much like the original Galaxy S but it has a few upgrades like HSPA+ connectivity to get on the slightly speedier "4G" network that the carrier currently has. Check it out on Samsung Canada.

Nexus S Now Available In Canada On Videotron, Telus, and Koodo Mobile

The first carrier in Canada to release the Nexus S? It was Videotron and they're willing to give you one if you fork over $149.95 on a 3-year contract or for $529.95 contract-free which is a bit high. The smartphone features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1GHz CPU, a 5MP AF camera, WiFi / Bluetooth support, hotspot capabilities, NFC, and stock Android 2.3 "Gingerbread". Check out the smartphone on Videotron.

The next two carriers to release the smartphone were Telus and Koodo Mobile via Best Buy. Telus is offering the smartphone right now for $174.99 on a 3-year contract and Koodo wants $274.99 on the Tab - even more expensive than Videotron. Check it out on Best Buy or Telus. More carriers will have the phone available before the end of the day so just wait a bit.

Google Nexus S Prices and Details For Telus and Rogers Leak Early

Price and release details for the Google Nexus S has just leaked from Telus and Rogers. Telus (above) looks like they'll be releasing the smartphone tomorrow for $179.99 on a 3-year contract and $549.99 contract-free. This one should be available tomorrow along with its 4-inch display, NFC, a 1GHz CPU, and Android "Gingerbread".

Surprisingly, it looks like Rogers could have the smartphone at a reasonable price: $99.99 on a 3-year contract and $499.99 contract-free. Of course, the 3-year contract price is a promo price so it'll shoot up in a few days / weeks so you better pick one up as soon as you can. I'm guessing it'll be available on a bunch of carriers tomorrow, April 7th.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo Hits the FCC With AT&T and Canada 3G Bands

Once again, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Neo has just been caught sneaking through the FCC. This time around it has 850/1900MHz bands which is perfect for AT&T in the US and a bunch of major carriers in Canada so this is definitely great news. Don't be surprised if this one gets announced for Canada or AT&T in the near future, cause it'll be a pretty good addition to any carrier if it's priced right. Check it out at the FCC.

Telus looks like they have another smartphone in the pipes and this time it's the rugged Motorola Defy which will be running Android 2.2 along with the Blur UI. This handset will be hitting the carrier soon but the price and official release date wasn't mentioned. The handset itself has a 3.7-inch Gorilla Glass WVGA (480 x 854 resolution) display, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 2.1 support, and a microSD card slot. Since it's a rugged one you can expect this one to launch for $149 to $199 on a 3-year contract - at least that's my guess.

Nokia E6 Hits the FCC, Could Be On Its Way To AT&T and T-Mobile USA

Yet another Nokia handset has just hit the FCC and this time it's the Nokia E6. The FCC tells us that this handset has tri-band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1700/1900MHz) connectivity so it'll be good enough for AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (along with a bunch of carriers in Canada). We don't know which carriers it will be hitting right now but hopefully someone announces it soon. I really hate waiting. Check it out at the FCC.

Bell Releases the HTC HD7 and Telus Releases the HTC Desire HD

The title really says it all. Bell released the HTC HD7 running Windows Phone 7, while Telus released the HTC Desire HD which runs Android 2.2 with the Sense UI. The Desire HD is the better of the two (slightly) because it features a more mature OS, a better camera, and you're able to use it as a WiFi hotspot if you need to. Of course, that makes it $50 more on a 3-year contract ($149.99 vs $99.99). The decision is yours now.

HTC Desire HD Now "Coming Soon" To Telus

Telus has just put up the HTC Desire HD on their website (here) and it's listed as "Coming Soon". We don't know exactly when or for how much it'll be available for so we'll have to wait around for that. Bell is getting the HD7 soon so Telus should price this one right so that they'll be able to sell more of them. I do believe that the Desire HD is the better smartphone though.
