Fido Releasing the Nokia C6 Soon For $275 Sans Contract

Fido is set to release their next handset soon and it's going to be the Nokia C6 which is running S60 5th Edition. This handset will be hitting the Canadian carrier for $275 contract-free so that's fairly good. The contract prices are unknown right now. This handset features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, WiFi / Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, and a 5MP camera.

Samsung Linx To Hit Fido On April 12th For $10

Mobile Syrup just picked up the picture above that states that a new phone is headed to Fido in Canada. Apparently, the Samsung Linx is going to be available starting on April 12th next week for $10 on a 2-year contract or for $110 pre-paid. Specs are unknown right now but it looks like it's a low-end phone.

Nexus S Hitting Canada On April 14th, Still Unconfirmed

There's no press release on it right now but Mobile Syrup has reportedly been informed that the Samsung-built Nexus S is going to hit Canada on April 14th. The price is unknown right now but it'll be available on a slew of carriers including: Rogers, Bell, Telus, WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Fido, Koodo Mobile, and Videotron. If you've been waiting to get your hands on NFC and stock "Gingerbread" then you might want to wait for this one.

Future Shop Says Fido and Koodo Mobile Are Getting the Nexus S Too, Available In April

Future Shop in Canada has just mentioned something that sounds pretty good. The Samsung-built Nexus S that runs Android "Gingerbread" is heading to a bunch of different carriers in Canada. So far we already know that the Big 3 along with Videotron and WIND Mobile will be getting the smartphone but it's also reportedly headed to Fido and Koodo Mobile as well. That's some great news! Furthermore, the Nexus S will reportedly be available in early April and pre-orders will actually start on Monday, March 21st! Very nice.

Fido Canada Launching the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) and Sony Ericsson Cedar

Coming from HoFo is word that Fido has two more handsets up their sleeve. The first one is above and that's the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300) and the other one is the Sony Ericsson J108 "Cedar". This news is unconfirmed right now. If it's true then prices and release dates are still unknown right now so that's the oh-so-important information that we're waiting around for.

Fido Releases the Nokia C1 and the LG Neon 2

It's almost the end of the day and this one almost slipped under the radar. Fido has actually released the candybar low-end Nokia C1 and the LG Neon 2 which sports a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The C1 is available for $50 contract-free, while the Neon 2 is available for free on a 2-year contract and $150 contract-free. The C1 features a 1.8-inch display, Bluetooth support, a microSD card slot, a VGA camera, and an FM radio. White LG Gossip Hits Fido Canada For $90 Contract-Free

It's not the biggest news of the day but Fido has released their LG (GW300) Gossip handset in white today. It's still available for free on a 2-year contract or for $90 contract-free if you're interested. Rogers has already released the Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro and it looks like they're going to be releasing it on Fido as well. This S60-based handset will be available on Fido for $75 on a 2-year contract and for $275 contract-free. The Vivaz Pro sports a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a microSD card slot, WiFi b/g / Bluetooth 2.1 support, a 720MHz CPU, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash and 720p HD video recording.

Fido Releases the Acer Liquid E For $30, Their First Android Handset

Finally, it's official so all the rumours are now cleared up. Fido now has their first Android handset, the Acer Liquid E. This smartphone is now available for $30 on a 3-year contract and for $375 contract-free. Beneath the 3.5-inch touchscreen display you'll get an underclocked 768MHz Snapdragon CPU, a 5MP camera, WiFi / GPS / Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.1. Best Buy Says Fido's Acer Liquid E Smartphone Will Cost $29.99

Best Buy may have just leaked the prices for the upcoming Fido Acer Liquid E smartphone. This Android-based handset is apparently going to be available for $29.99 on a 3-year contract and $349.99 on a 2-year contract, which would be quite expensive. If these prices are true, maybe the contract-free pricing is somewhere between $400 and $500. It's going to be available tomorrow so everything will be official soon.
