WIND Mobile Releases the Google Nexus S and the Nokia C5-04

WIND Mobile in Canada has released two new phones today: the Google Nexus S and the Nokia C5-04. The better one if the former smartphone which packs a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, NFC capabilities, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread". It's available right now for $525 contract-free if you're interested. The other handset is the Nokia C5-04 which features a 3.2-inch display, a 5MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and S60 5th Edition. This one's available for $150 contract-free which isn't too bad. WIND Mobile Rumoured To Release the Nokia C5-04 On April 7th

There's a new rumour going around that WIND Mobile in Canada will add another S60 handset to their line-up this week. Apparently, the Nokia C5-04 is going to hit the carrier this week for $150 contract-free or for free on their WINDTab. There's no way to confirm this information right now but the launch date is said to be on April 7th so it's only two days away.

The C5-04 features a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen display, Bluetooth / WiFi support, a 600MHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD card slot.

WIND Mobile Releases the Samsung C414 Flip Phone For $110 Sans Contract

WIND Mobile has just released their latest handset and it's the Samsung C414. This handset is a basic flip phone so there's no surprises. This handset is available for $110 contract-free and free on the WINDTab. This handset features an internal / external display, a 2MP camera, and a microSD card slot. Check it out on WIND Mobile.

Mobilicity Releases the Samsung C414Y Flip Phone, WIND Mobile To Get It Too

It looks like the Samsung C414 flip phone has just hit another carrier in Canada. It's already available in Telus and Mobilicity has just released it as well. This one's going for $109.99 contract-free which is pretty good and $40 cheaper than what Telus is offering it for. This is a basic phone with a 1.3-inch external display, a 2.2-inch QVGA internal display, Bluetooth support, a 2MP camera, and quad-band GSM / AWS 3G connectivity. Check it out on Mobilicity.

Nexus S Hitting Canada On April 14th, Still Unconfirmed

There's no press release on it right now but Mobile Syrup has reportedly been informed that the Samsung-built Nexus S is going to hit Canada on April 14th. The price is unknown right now but it'll be available on a slew of carriers including: Rogers, Bell, Telus, WIND Mobile, Mobilicity, Fido, Koodo Mobile, and Videotron. If you've been waiting to get your hands on NFC and stock "Gingerbread" then you might want to wait for this one.

Nokia E6 Hits the FCC, Could Be On Its Way To AT&T and T-Mobile USA

Yet another Nokia handset has just hit the FCC and this time it's the Nokia E6. The FCC tells us that this handset has tri-band UMTS/HSDPA (850/1700/1900MHz) connectivity so it'll be good enough for AT&T and T-Mobile in the US (along with a bunch of carriers in Canada). We don't know which carriers it will be hitting right now but hopefully someone announces it soon. I really hate waiting. Check it out at the FCC.

We knew it was coming today and WIND Mobile in Canada has come through. They have just released the Nokia C7 for $350 contract-free which isn't too bad. The handset itself features a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with a 360 x 640 resolution, an 8MP camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, a 1,200mAh battery, and Symbian^3. WIND Mobile has just announced three piece of good information. They all have to do with upcoming handsets and they've officially announced the Nokia C7, which will be available on March 18th, and the LG dLite which will be coming in silver this week. That's not all though. The carrier also hinted that they'll be releasing the Samsung-built and Gingerbread powered Nexus S soon too! Awesome!

Telus announced it yesterday and everyone else has followed suit. The Google Nexus S, which is made by Samsung, will be hitting Bell, Rogers, Mobilicity, Wind, and Videotron in Canada. This is actually great news for everyone North of the border and maybe more people will actually think about buying this one when they try it out in stores. I'm thinking about it, but it's too bad that it doesn't have a dual-core CPU.

WIND Mobile's Inventory Systems Says the Bold 9780 Isn't Too Far Away

WIND Mobile in Canada looks like they're gearing up to release the BlackBerry Bold 9780. The inventory screenshot above shows that the smartphone from RIM is there and the Bold 9700's stock levels are dwindling. When they're out of the Bold 9700, you'll likely be seeing the 9780 go up for sale. The 9780 ships with OS 6.0 along with the WebKit browser so it may be worth the wait.

WIND Mobile To Launch the LG dLite, Alcatel OT981A, and the Huawei U3200

A bunch of new handsets are going to be hitting North of the border, Canada, in the future on WIND Mobile. They're all listed below and include the LG dLite, the Android-based Alcatel OT981A (I believe it's a variant of the Alcatel OT-980), and the Huawei U3200. None of them are mind-blowing in terms of specs but they'll definitely be affordable. The exact release dates and pricing are still unknown right now.

WIND Mobile To Get the BlackBerry Curve 3G In the Future

Coming from WIND Mobile's own site is OS 5.0.0.977 for the BlackBerry Curve 3G (9300), which they currently don't offer. Obviously, this is a tip that they will be launching it sometime in the future. The Curve 3G is definitely a great addition to their line-up since the only BB they do offer is the Bold 9700 and consumers want something a bit cheaper. Look out for it soon.

Update: Boy Genius has basically confirmed that WIND Mobile will be getting the Curve 3G (9300) by the leaked inventory screenshot below. As you can see in the picture below there'll be two models so we'll likely be seeing two different colours that the carrier will offer.
