Asus' CEO Says They're Working On a 3D Tablet, MeeGo and Android Netbooks and WP7 For 2012

Asus has just announced something that sounds pretty darn great. Apparently, the CEO, Jerry Shen, has mentioned that they're working on a few products. They include: a 3D tablet, MeeGo and Android Atom powered netbooks, and even a Windows Phone 7 handset which actually won't hit the market until 2012. Nothing else has been mentioned but it would be surprising for the 3D tablet not to run Android so you can get excited if you don't want the LG G-Slate / Optimus Pad.

Dell "Rosemount" Windows 7 Tablet Will Sport an "Oak Trail" Atom and Dual-Digitizer

The Dell "Rosemount" leaked on the company's roadmap just yesterday and Engadget is hearing some pretty juicy details regarding the Windows 7 based tablet. Apparently, the 10-inch tablet will be sporting a dual-digitizer so that you'll be able to touch your way around the UI or you'll also be able to use a stylus if that's what you want to do. Other rumoured specs for now include an Intel "Oak Trail" Atom CPU, software encryption, remote wipe, and a removable battery. This tablet may actually be a part of their Latitude line-up so it could be perfect for the enterprise or a business environment.

Nokia N9 To Launch Next Month With 1.2GHz Atom CPU and MeeGo?

Nokia is in pretty big trouble when it comes to their global phone market share because Samsung (with the help of Android) and Apple are catching up. Of course, their Symbian market share is dropping as well, because of Android and iOS. They're going to have to do something quite drastic.

Coming from Prosessori is word that the Nokia N9 will be launching with an Intel Atom 1.2GHz CPU and could also be running the MeeGo OS which is much better than any Symbian OS that has been conjured up to this date. Specs are unconfirmed right now but it'll definitely have a slide-out QWERTY keyboard along with a great camera on the back. Let's hope this one gets unveiled around MWC which takes place next month. It could be Nokia's saviour.

Fujitsu Reveals 10-Inch Windows 7 Tablet; Android One Is In the Works

At CES there has been a bunch of tablets which is reminiscent of last year. This time here's an offering from Fujitsu which actually doesn't appear to have a name right now. Specs include a 10.1-inch display, an Intel Atom "Oak Trail" Z670 CPU, 2GB of RAM, dual-cameras, and Windows 7. Details other than this are pretty scarce right now so we'll have to wait until Fujitsu announces more. This tablet will reportedly be available in Q2 of this year but the price is still unknown right now.

The company is said to also be working on an Android "Honeycomb" tablet but we don't know what it will look like right now.

Lenovo Reveals IdeaPad S100 and S205 Netbooks, Both Launching In March

Lenovo may have a few tablets up their sleeve for CES this year but they haven't given up on netbooks quite yet - even though they are, in fact, dying. Today they've revealed the IdeaPad S100 (above) and the IdeaPad S205. The former sports a 10.1-inch display with an Intel Atom dual-core N570 CPU along with integrated GMA 3150 graphics. Other specs include up to 2GB of RAM, up to a 320GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, a 2MP webcam, USB 2.0 ports, a memory card reader, and Windows 7 Home Basic along with the company's own Quick Start OS which does exactly what it sounds like. This will be available in March at a base price of $329.99.

On the other hand, there's also the IdeaPad S205 (below) which Lenovo outfitted with an 11.6-inch display (1,366 x 768 resolution), an AMD dual-core E-350 CPU, and Radeon HD6310 graphics. Furthermore, you'll also find an HDMI output, optional 3G support, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM, up to a 750GB HDD, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth support, USB 2.0 ports, a memory card reader, an integrated webcam with face recognition, and Windows 7 Home Premium. This will also be available but the price is unknown right now. However, it will be more expensive than the Atom-powered S100 netbook.
