The title really says it all. In February, we heard that HTC planned to release their 7-inch Flyer tablet globally sometime in Q2 and at their event today they announced that Europe will be getting it on May 9th. Not much left to tell you but before you pick one up you should remember that HTC has "Honeycomb" tablets in the works. Just saying.

T-Mobile USA Looks Like They'll Be Getting the HTC Flyer Too
Thanks to T-Mobile USA's advertising on their YouTube account, it looks like the carrier intends to launch the 7-inch HTC Flyer sometime in the future. The tablet was introduced at CTIA as the EVO View 4G and it's going to be hitting Sprint, but it looks like it's not an exclusive. We don't know when it'll be hitting the carrier but keep in mind that this tablet is still running pre-Honeycomb so it's kind of DOA.

Sprint Announces the HTC Flyer As the EVO View 4G, Launching This Summer
Sprint has just made it official. So, "the next big EVO thing. Only bigger." has turned out to be the HTC EVO View 4G - as expected. This tablet is exactly like the Flyer with its 7-inch 1,024 x 600 resolution display, a 1.5GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, 32GB of internal storage, and Sense UI over top of Android except that this one has WiMAX capabilities to take advantage of the carrier's 4G network. The display is capacitive but Sprint is throwing in a capacitive stylus with it as well so you can use that if you don't want to dirty the screen with your greasy fingers. This will be available in the Summer for an unknown price.

3 UK Launching Samsung Galaxy S2 Mini, Nokia X7, LG Optimus 3D, HTC Flyer, BB Playbook
3 UK may have just leaked some juicy information regarding some upcoming smartphones. Apparently, Samsung is prepping a Galaxy S2 Mini for the future and the launch is reportedly set for April on the carrier. Specs are going to include a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen display, a 5MP AF camera with an LED flash, a VGA front-facing camera, HSDPA connectivity, WiFi n / Bluetooth support, GPS, a 1.4GHz CPU, WiFi hotspot capabilities, and Android "Gingerbread" with the Touchwiz UI. This is classified as a high-end handset and I'm actually looking to pick this one up because I really like 3.7-inch displays. Don't worry, there's more!
Moving along, it looks like the Symbian^3 based Nokia X7 - that won't be hitting AT&T anymore - will be headed to 3 UK this June, along with the LG Optimus 3D. In May you can expect the 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet and in June you'll be able to pick up a WiFi-only BlackBerry Playbook. Interesting stuff, I'm looking forward to them all!

HTC Files For EVO View 4G Trademark, WiMAX Flyer Tablet Looks Like It's On the Way
We heard about this just a few days ago and it looks like Engadget's tipsters may have been correct - yet again. HTC has just filed a trademark for the EVO View 4G and it looks like this could be announced at CTIA for Sprint's 4G (WiMAX) network. This should be a tablet and could actually be just an HTC Flyer with WiMAX radios inside. It'll be running Android "Gingerbread" at launch but it should be getting "Honeycomb" via update, but who knows how long that'll actually take.

WiFi-Only HTC Flyer Now Up For Pre-Orders In Germany
A retailer I've actually never heard of before, Cyberport, is actually now taking pre-orders in Germany for the Android powered 7-inch HTC Flyer tablet. You can clearly see that this WiFi-only model will cost you €499 ($685 USD). The release date is unknown right now but we know the spec sheet because this tablet was made official at MWC which took place earlier this month.
The HTC Flyer features a 7-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, a 5MP camera, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 1.5GHz single-core CPU, aGPS, and unfortunately just Android 2.4 with the Sense UI. It might be worth it if you don't have enough money for an Android "Honeycomb" based tablet.

Amazon Germany Lists the HTC Flyer For a Whopping €669
Amazon Germany has been the first e-tailer to put up the HTC Flyer on their website. They have listed this tablet for €669 which is right around $900 USD - even more expensive than the Motorola XOOM. Pretty interested but I really can't see it really launch for this much. This tablet features a 7-inch display, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, Bluetooth 3.0 / WiFi b/g/n support, a 5MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a microSD card slot, an HDMI output, DLNA, and Android 2.4 with the Sense UI. Check it out on Amazon if you want to know more.

7-Inch HTC Flyer Tablet Packs 1.5GHz, Has Stylus Input, and Android 2.4 With Sense
HTC unveiled exactly what we were expecting at their event today and what you see is officially called the Flyer, which I thought would be just a codename. This tablet features a 7-inch display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, a 1.5GHz CPU, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, an aluminum unibody design, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, a microSD card slot, and Android 2.4 with the Sense UI. That's not all though; the display is meant for "groundbreaking pen experience" so you'll be able to use a stylus if you need more accuracy. This tablet will reportedly be available in Q2 of this year but the price wasn't mentioned. Check out Engadget's hands-on with the tablet at the link below.
Update: Apparently, this tablet will eventually be getting "Honeycomb" but it'll be after it launches. We'll see how long it takes.

7-Inch HTC "Flyer" Tablet Set For March Release With Android 2.3 and a New Sense UI
According to the Economic Daily HTC is gearing up their tablet for a March release. Apparently, this tablet, the "Flyer", will feature a 7-inch display along with Android 2.3 and a new Sense UI. This news is unconfirmed right now but we're really hoping that HTC makes it official next week at MWC. Since it's going to be running on some old hardware and software let's hope that the company keeps the price down.

Fone Arena Gets Inventory Screenshots of the HTC Pyramid, Flyer, Desire 2, LG Optimus 3D, and LG Star Tab!
Fone Arena got some nice inventory screenshot photos and they're all upcoming Android devices which is great news. You take a look at the photo above and you see the HTC "Pyramid" which we heard of just a few days ago and it's said to be sporting some amazing specs for a smartphone. Moving along there's also photos below confirming the existence of the HTC "Flyer", said to be the company's 7-inch Android tablet, the LG Optimus 3D smartphone, and the LG Star Tab - which could be a variant of the G-Slate / Optimus Tab. You can bet on these all making an MWC appearance in less than two weeks.
Fone Arena also got another photo of the HTC Desire 2 in the systems but we already know about that one.

7-Inch HTC Flyer Android-Based Tablet Specs Leak, Not All That Impressive
Coming from Amobil, is word on some rumoured specs on the Android-based HTC Flyer tablet. This tablet is reportedly going to feature a 7-inch touchscreen display with a 1,024 x 600 resolution, a Qualcomm MSM8255 1GHz CPU, an HDMI port, a 5MP rear-facing camera with an LED flash, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, HSPA connectivity, DLNA support, and an unknown version of Android which will have a remodeled "Sense" UI (possibly Sensation) that will give the tablet a desktop feel to it. A few days ago we heard that it could be running Android 2.3 though, which is a let down. Apparently, there'll be another model with LTE (4G) connectivity for Verizon but the release date is unknown.
The website has also mentioned that HTC is working on a 10-inch Android tablet as well.

Three HTC Tablets By June, First One Dubbed the "Flyer" and Shipping With Android 2.3?
Coming from DigiTimes is word that HTC is gearing up to release at least three tablets this year. The first one will reportedly be called the "Flyer" and will be sporting just Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" (reportedly upgradeable to "Honeycomb" whenever it's available) so that's quite a let down since the Motorola XOOM with "Honeycomb" will be available soon. Apparently, the HTC Flyer will be available in March so maybe we'll be seeing it announced at MWC. It's okay though, because the firm has also mentioned that HTC will have two more tablets ready for this June and will be shipping with Android 3.0 "Honeycomb". Sounds good.
