Sprint Announces the HTC Flyer As the EVO View 4G, Launching This Summer
Sprint has just made it official. So, "the next big EVO thing. Only bigger." has turned out to be the HTC EVO View 4G - as expected. This tablet is exactly like the Flyer with its 7-inch 1,024 x 600 resolution display, a 1.5GHz CPU, a 5MP camera, a front-facing 1.3MP camera, 32GB of internal storage, and Sense UI over top of Android except that this one has WiMAX capabilities to take advantage of the carrier's 4G network. The display is capacitive but Sprint is throwing in a capacitive stylus with it as well so you can use that if you don't want to dirty the screen with your greasy fingers. This will be available in the Summer for an unknown price.

BlackBerry 4G Playbook Page Now Live On Sprint, Still On Track For Summer
Sprint has just put up a new page for the 4G BlackBerry Playbook. This one should be like the original Playbook but this one will, obviously, feature WiMAX connectivity. Unfortunately, this one's still scheduled for a Summer launch so don't think that this one's coming sooner just because the page is up. We should be seeing more of this tomorrow at the carrier's CTIA event. Check it out on Sprint if you don't believe me.

Sprint Announces the Nexus S 4G, Launching This Spring For $199; Integrated Google Voice
It was expected and it's now official. Sprint has just announced the Google Nexus S 4G and it's exactly like the original Nexus S except that this one has WiMAX connectivity. This will be available in the Sprint for $199.99 on a 2-year contract. Don't forget that this one will also have integrated Google Voice.
Update: Another Engadget post has just mentioned that Sprint will pretty much be Google's official carrier now. The carrier has just announced that you can now use your phone for tight Google Voice integration and it'll let you use your current number if you want to. Pretty awesome stuff!
Update: BGR has just pointed out that if you head over to Best Buy then you can actually pre-order this one right now! The deposit is just $50.

Sprint's CTIA Announcements Leak: HTC EVO 3D, EVO View 4G, Motorola XOOM, BB Playbook
Well, Sprint's CTIA announcements have just been spoiled. BGR has just broke the news that they'll be announcing the HTC EVO 3D, EVO View 4G, Motorola XOOM, the Samsung Rant 3, and a WiFi-only BlackBerry Playbook as well as one with WiMAX connectivity. Pretty awesome stuff. Now, let's get into the specs, shall we?
First off, we have the EVO 3D which is said to feature a 4.3-inch qHD 3D display (960 x 540 resolution), a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 8660 CPU, a 5MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 1,730mAh battery, an HDMI port that will output 1080p and even 720p video, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of ROM, and Android 2.3 with the Sense UI. The smartphone is also said to have the Blockbuster 3D app as well as YouTube 3D. If you're buying into the 3D trend then this may actually be the phone for you.
Next up is reportedly the EVO View 4G. This one will be sporting a 7-inch display (1,024 x 600 resolution), an aluminum unibody, a 5MP camera, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, WiFi b/g/n / Bluetooth 3.0 support, a 4,000mAh battery, DLNA, HDMI output, and Android 2.3 "Gingerbread" with the Sense UI. It's pretty much exactly like we've been hearing. An HTC Flyer with WiMAX capabilities. Not exactly the best tablet on the market.
Moving along we have the XOOM which will be exactly like the Verizon model but it'll have WiMAX capabilities instead. No clue if it'll initially ship with the device. There's also word on the Samsung Rant 3 which is the most uninteresting of the bunch. This one is said to be a 3G touchscreen handset which is reportedly eco-friendly since it'll have a solar panel on the door... or something like that. The last one is the BlackBerry Playbook which Sprint will be announcing. It'll come in two models, like I said: WiFi-only and WiMAX. I'm assuming there'll be a regular 3G model as well. Definitely quite a big showing for Sprint, so this event should be exciting.

Sprint To Announce Nexus S 4G, EVO 3D, and EVO View Tablet At CTIA This Year?
By now you should've already heard that Sprint will be announcing a couple of devices at CTIA this year. Coming from an Engadget tipster is word that the carrier will be announcing the Samsung-built Nexus S 4G at the event. Hopefully, it won't just be a Nexus S with WiMAX - let's hope they upgraded some internal components as well (dual-core CPU, please!). The other two devices are said to be the EVO 3D and the EVO View tablet - both should be coming from HTC. The EVO 3D should feature some high-end specs along with a 3D display (and hopefully WiMAX), while the EVO View tablet could just be the Flyer's CMA variant. We'll see what happens in a few weeks.

HTC EVO Shift 4G Gets Spotted In the Real World, Sporting 800MHz CPU
Live photos of the HTC EVO Shift 4G has just leaked out and this one's definitely headed to Sprint. This one clearly has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and inside you'll find WiMAX connectivity along with the new Qualcomm 800MHz CPU - also found in the T-Mobile G2. This smartphone will definitely sell pretty quickly, let's just hope that HTC has made enough of them to keep up with the demand. This should be launching in Q1 2011.

HTC EVO Shift 3G (Speedy / Knight) Pictured Again, This Time Shows Us the QWERTY Keyboard
What you see above is a picture of the HTC Evo Shift 4G (or the Knight or the Speedy). This time we finally get a look at the slide-out QWERTY keyboard of it and it definitely looks like a modification of the Touch Pro 2 which is great news! It looks very easy to type on and even throws in a trackpad in the bottom right corner so that you'll be able to edit whatever you type in case you made a mistake. Rumoured specs are said to be an 8MP camera with 720p HD video recording, a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch LCD WVGA display, Android 2.2 "Froyo", and WiMAX connectivity since it's hitting Sprint.
